The Technomathematics group (AGTM) works on mathematical analysis, modelling and numerical simulation of differential equations with applications in physics, biology, socio-economics and engineering. Our aim is to pursue research with industry, research institutes and other disciplines as well as basic research in applied mathematics. Our work leads to high quality research with a practical basis.

At present the group consists of 12 faculty and 19 PhD students. Ongoing fields of research include asymptotic and stochastic methods for fiber dynamics, Lattice Boltzmann- and particle methods in fluid dynamics, modelling and simulation of dynamical networks, computational kinetic theory including transport and radiative heat transfer equations, PDE constrained optimization and numerical control theory.
